Coronavirus has changed the complete shape of the Telugu Film Industry. All the shootings have stopped and theaters were shutdown. The worst part is that there is no chance of normalcy in the near future. It is ruining the jobs of 1000s of film workers and daily wagers. Even the stars are not immune.
Pawan Kalyan seems to have everything to lose due to this Pandemic. The Janasena President came back to films with the sole intention of making money for his party but this break ensured that all those plans have gone haywire and all his projects were delayed now. Delay in projects means a delay in money for Pawan Kalyan.
Coming to his immediate next project, Vakeel Saab. The movie was supposed to release in Summer but now, the holidays’ advantage is lost now. There is less hype on the project among the common audience since it is a remake. This delay would do no good for that. As of now, the plans are on to release the movie on August 14th as Independence Day Special.
If that is missed as well, the movie should release in some dry season which will be really bad for the film. Pawan Kalyan’s other project, a Period film with Krish began shoot already and this held up means money lost in the form of interests. If the delay is more, we may even see producers asking the hero to take pay-cuts.
