Garima Kothari and Manmohan Mall were a happy couple, and owners of Nukkad, an Indian restaurant a few blocks from their Jersey City high-rise apartment. They were suspiciously found dead on Sunday. Days before that, Garika sent out an appeal on Facebook asking for donations to keep her restaurant open.
She came up with several creative ideas to keep their business floating as per her Facebook timeline, but nothing seems to have worked. Rumors are that the growing COVID-19 crisis has brought their business to its knees and that may be the reason for their death.
Police registered the case as a murder-suicide and are yet to determine the series of events that led to the two deaths. The Police say Kothari suffered trauma in her upper body. Both husband and wife were highly qualified, as revealed by their social media entries.
The number of Coronacases in the United States crossed the One Million mark. It has resulted in around 60K fatalities so far.
