Controversial and Vendetta Politics Mar YS Jagan 100 DaysTomorrow is the 100th day of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule in Andhra Pradesh. While 100 days is too less to form an opinion of someone, Jagan’s rule is very eventful. Sadly, it is marred by unnecessary Vendetta and controversial decision. Jagan seems to be moving forward with the sole aim of erasing Chandrababu’s mark on the State.

All the important issues for the state like Polavaram, Amaravati etc were brought to a standstill because Jagan did not win the election promising those. The intentional confusion about Amaravati’s future is an example of how Jagan wants to erase Chandrababu’s mark on AP. The World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIM) have pulled out of the $300 million state capital project. Polavaram Tenders were canceled and now re-tenders are being mooted. Already the issue has brought brickbats from the court. PPAs were canceled scaring away the investors even the Ambassador to Japan wrote a scathing letter to the State Government indicating the repercussions of the move.

The Chief Minister skipping Kia First Car launch and his MP writing a dissent note on the First Car is the pinnacle of wrong signals sent to the investors. 75% Reservation to the Locals Rule is sending shivers down the spine of the investors. The majority of 100 days rule is spent to find possible corruption in Chandrababu’s rule so that the latter can be sent to jail because Jagan thinks he is responsible for his 16 months jail term. The government has also shut down Anna canteens, under which the poor and the middle class were getting a meal for only Rs 5.

Coming to the good things, Jagan had started taking nascent steps towards the implementation of his Navaratnalu – The Nine Promises. Key steps were taken for Village Volunteers System, Liquor Prohibition and RTC merger into the Government, but it is still early days to term them success or failure. The Chief Minister has bid time by setting dates to implement various marquee welfare schemes but then time will not stand still forever and the coming days are going to be very crucial.
