Former Congress PCC President and Senior Congress leader Botsa Satya Narayana had conceded his party’s defeat in the local body elections. He attributed the failure to the state bifurcation. He said Congress paid heavy price being in power both in the state and the center. He also added that similar results will come for Congress in tomorrow’s Assembly and Parliament elections (in Seema Andhra) and every one should take collective responsibility.
Botsa also said that whichever party comes to power should carry out promises in their manifestos in 100 days of its coming to power. He added that Congress will stand beside people and make sure the incoming government abide to its promises. The counting for Assembly and Parliament elections will begin tomorrow morning across the state. Experts believe Congress is all set for biggest defeat of its life in Seema Andhra region.
