State bifurcation issue had totally uprooted Congress party from both the regions of the state. Seema Andhra people have voted it out for granting Separate Telangana state and Telangana people saw its intention of taking political advantage. Both the Pradesh Congress Committee Presidents Ponnala Lakshmaiah (in Telangana) and Raghuveera Reddy (in Seema Andhra) lost their seats. Several ministers in Telangana region lost and it may noted that some of the Congress leaders who took active part in Telangana agitation also lost due to Anti-Government vote.
And in Seema Andhra region, Several Congress leaders have already joined other parties and the remaining left over leaders also lost their seats. Former PCC President Botsa Satya Narayana and his wife Jhansi, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana,
