c-ramachandraiah-congress-mlc-retirement-ap-assemblyCongress Party which registered Zero Seats in 2014 elections, has no representation in Andhra Pradesh Assembly. The Party is going to lose its representation from Council as well in the next year. Congress has a good number of MLCs thanks to 2009 win but then after 2014 elections, a majority of them have joined TDP.

Only Seven MLCs have remained with Congress since then and C. Rama Chandraiah is the Leader of the Opposition. Rama Chandraiah along with six other Congress MLCs will be retiring the next year. T. Ratnabai and Council Chairman, Chakrapani are nominated in Governor Quota during Congress Regime but they are technically not Congress members.

Chakrapani will also retire next year but may join TDP. Ratnabai may be the only MLC with some Congress link from the next year in the council. The grand old party despite its best efforts is not able to make a mark on the people. Experts see there is no resurgence around the corner as people still view Congress as the Criminal for the state bifurcation.
