In a bid to counter Chandrababu Naidu, old friends – Congress and YSR Congress seem to have joined hands. They have used Mudragada Padmanabham’s Deeksha for that. Kapu Leaders meet was convened in Hyderabad and it brought together the Kapu leaders of both the parties. Chiranjeevi, Dasari, Ramachandraiah from Congress, Botsa, Dadisetty Raja and Ambati Rambabu from YSR Congress have attended the meet.
Besides the issues related to Mudragada, Congress men have extended their support to Sakshi and condemned the ban on the News Channel. Sakshi is more of a political weapon to YSR Congress. If Congress sees YSR Congress as a political rival, its leaders will not extend their support to Sakshi in any way. But then the meeting adopted a resolution to overturn the ban.
YSR Congress is just a break away faction of Congress. With TDP in alliance with BJP and the latter not living up to the expectations of state people, an alliance or merger with Congress is always on cards for Jagan Mohan Reddy. This common platform fights seem to be the first step in that direction.
