Congress party is resorting to all the tricks of the trade to resist BJP coming to power. To counter Modi’s wave in the country, the party is getting ready to even support 3rd front containing regional parties to form the government. External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said the Congress could consider extending support to the Third Front or taking its help, if necessary to form the government at the Centre after the Lok Sabha polls.
“Congress government is committed to protect the secularism in the country. We are ready to support 3rd front in case it requires to counter communal forces coming to power”, Khurshid said. This is a master stroke from Congress as several leaders of Regional parties have the aspirations of becoming Prime Minister. This will even tempt Communists to support this Congress led front under Secularism cover. We will have to see how Modi counters this!
