Congress Plants Surveys to Ally with TDP in AP?Two Surveys have come out on National Media in the last 24 hours or so saying that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress Party has a slender edge on TDP if elections are to be held today. Both these surveys have come up in media favourable to Congress.

Sources in the Delhi tells us that these Surveys are suddenly brought out of thin air even as all the media houses are concentrating on the states which go for elections later this year. These surveys are not conducted in all the states which raise the doubts.

Interestingly, both these surveys said Rahul Gandhi is the preferred as the next Prime Minister, unlike the other states where Narendra Modi is much ahead. These surveys give an indication that TDP will steer to safety with the help of Congress and so an alliance in AP is shown imminent.

But then, an astute politician Naidu has very slim chances of getting influenced so easily and will have his own calculations on these issues. As of now, Naidu wants to confine the alliance only in Telangana. Further, Elections in AP are eight months away and a lot can change by then.
