Congress on death bed in TelanganaCongress party stares at a bleak future as its Senior leader D.Srinivas joins the ruling party very recently. The party which is truncated across the party, is also decimating in the newest state of the country. The major problem is the severe leadership crisis in the state. Even though there are senior leaders, the party do not have that face who can lead the party as well as instill confidence in the people.

The recent whirlwind tour of Rahul Gandhi in Telangana is of very little use. The ruling party is in the process of attracting some Congress MLCs and the defections may lead the party to losing its principal opposition party status in the Legislative Council.

As per rules, a party is eligible to stake claim to the leader of the opposition position only when it has more than 10% of the total members of the council. Situation is equally bad in Assembly as well as TRS shifted its focus on to empty Congress after TDP.
