BJP in Andhra Pradesh seem to be desperate to make its presence felt in the state. It had stooped to such an extent that it joined hands with its arch rivals Congress in Guntur Urban Bank elections to elect the Bank Chairman and Vice Chairman. BJP is supporting Congress candidates in the elections to blackmail TDP.
Kanna Lakshmi Narayana former Congress Minister who recently joined BJP is aiding this decision of the Saffron Party. Kanna who is anti Chandrababu all his life is trying his level best to foil TDP and BJP alliance in the state. Reports are emerging that TDP high command instructed the leaders not to go to the extent of street fights.
Finally the issue was resolved after TDP offered Vice Chairman Post to BJP, taking the Chairman Post for itself. BJP finally withdrew its candidate from the fray. This over ambitious blackmail of BJP is an example of how things will pan out for the upcoming municipal corporation elections and 2019 elections.
But then things will not be as easy as now. YSR Congress will get benefitted if a weak BJP managed to get better number of seats as a part of alliance, TDP leaders feel. But then Naidu himself is being helpless as the state is dependent on Center’s help for every thing and would not want to irk BJP at this crucial juncture.
