With the sudden demise of YSR Congress candidate Shobha Nagi Reddy, there are doubts all over about the election in Allagadda. According to the rules, in case of death of a candidate from an Election Commission Recognized party, the election is to be postponed. But YSR Congress Party is not an Election Commission recognized party, hence according to the books, the election will go on as scheduled.
On the other side, Election Commission had declared that a decision on this will be taken after receiving a report from Kurnool Collector. Final decision is expected to be out by this evening. On the other side, family members have shifted Shobha Nagi Reddy’s mortal remains to Allagadda. Here final rites will be performed tomorrow afternoon in Allagadda itself.
