Telugu comedian, Ali extensively campaigned for YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh ahead of 2019 elections. It was initially heard that he would be given the Rajyasabha berth after the YCP was voted to power.
But the Jagan government tracked back on the Rajyasabha berth and instead have made him WAQF board chairman.
Now, the government has handed over another post to Ali. He has been appointed as electronic media advisor to the government of Andhra Pradesh.
Ali will remain in power for two years and the same was confirmed through an order from the government of Andhra Pradesh.
Not so long ago, there were reports that Ali would leave YSRCP to join Pawan Kalyan’s JanaSena. He condemned the same later though. Cut to now, Ali has been given the media advisory post by the government of Andhra Pradesh.
