Its been 10 days since the meeting of Chiranjeevi with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Chiranjeevi went to the Chief Minister’s Official Residence along with his wife and was warmly received by Jagan and Bharathi. The Megastar invited Jagan to watch a Special Screening of his Sye Raa.
There were reports that Chiranjeevi also sought Tax Exemption for the film since the movie is the Biopic of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, one of the first freedom fighters in the country. Uyyalawada hails from Kurnool and so it is natural for Chiranjeevi to expect the Tax Exemption.
However, the Chief Minister is yet to watch the film or announce any Tax Exemption for the movie. Chiranjeevi was waiting for Jagan’s appointment. He will be joining the Chief Minister for the Special Screening which will be arranged in Vijayawada or Hyderabad.
A section of Mega fans, particularly Janasena Supporters are not happy with Chiranjeevi meeting the Chief Minister since the latter bad-mouthed Pawan Kalyan during the election campaign. They are even agitated with this cold response from the Chief Minister. On the other side, Sye Raa theatrical run is almost completed.
