CM-Jagan's-Shocking-PM-About-Coronavirus-and-Local-ElectionsAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy rarely talks to the media. He did not even talk to media on serious issues like Three Capitals, Amaravati Farmers Agitation, etc. The Chief Minister did not talk to media when Coronavirus scare is gripping the state. The CM came before media a short while ago after he is upset with the State Election Commission postponing the local elections for Six Months.

The Chief Minister alleged that State Election Commissioner, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has taken a unilateral decision to postpone the elections. The CM did not mince words in alleging that the State Election Commissioner belongs to the same caste as Chandrababu Naidu and so unilaterally postponed the elections.

He went on to say that there is no Corona problem for Andhra Pradesh and it is a simple infection that can be cured with a Simple Paracetamol. “There is no review with the Health Secretary or the Chief Secretary about Corona effect. How can he transfer SPs and Collectors without consulting the Government?” Jagan alleged.

He also found fault with the EC stopping House Pattas distribution for the poor. Incidentally, YSR Congress wrote letters to the Election Commissioner to transfer some officials before the 2019 elections. EC also transferred some key officials in the TDP Government back then. YSR Congress also demanded the ban on Pasupu Kumkuma Scheme while it is upset now.

Chief Minister shockingly said that there is no problem with Coronavirus for Local Elections. “Coronavirus will never subside. It will become a part and parcel of lives. Countries will very soon start deporting our people and the infection will only spread. We can not postpone elections for that,” the Chief Minister shockingly stated.

Jagan confirmed that he has complained about the State Election Commissioner to the Governor. “We will take the issue further if he does not mend his ways,” Jagan warned.
