CM Jagan Adamant on Polavaram Re-Tenders?After the adverse verdict of the Court on Polavaram Hydel Project, the State Government is pondering on the next steps. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is adamant to let go this issue and is mulling the option to approach Andhra Pradesh High Court’s Divisional Bench. The earlier verdict is given by a Single Judge.

Jagan who is just back from his America Trip will discuss the issue with the officials and take a final decision. On the other side, Legal Experts say that the Government should save its face in this issue by stopping here itself as there is no merit in the Government’s argument as proved already.

On 22nd of this month, The State Water Resources Ministry called for the Re-tenders for Polavaram Project Concrete works (1771.44 Crore) and Hydel Project (3216.11 Crores) as total one Package of 4987.55 Crore Rupees. On the same day, the High Court has given a verdict to stall the re-tendering process.

Even though the stay is only on Hydel Project, the entire process got stalled as the tenders for both the works are floated as a Single Package.
