Andhra Pradesh will become the first state in the country to have three capitals. Amaravati may be the Legislative Capital, Kurnool the Judicial Capital, and Vishakapatnam the Executive Capital. Going by the outlook of the three capitals, Vishakapatnam is going to get the major cut.
Reports are that the Government had already started surveying the Government lands in the Port City to shift the administration. If everything goes as per the plan, the shifting of executive capital may be completed within the next six to seven months
Sources say that CM Camp Office will be set up in the Millenium IT Tower in Madhurawada. The then Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu had constructed this tower at an expense of 150 Crore. An IT company, Conduent IT which is operating from one of the blocks of this tower may be asked to vacate if CM Jagan finalizes the location.
Rumors in the Port City are the Government has taken back around 13 acres allotted to Adani Company for the sole purpose of the Capital.
