Clear Indication: Vizag People Not Trusting JaganFormer Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao is contemplating going to court to get his resignation approved.

Ganta has resigned as an MLA as a support to the cause of the Vishakapatnam Steel plant.

It was submitted in Speaker format and Ganta recently wrote another letter asking the Speaker to approve it.

There are doubts why the speaker is not approving the resignation.

It is quite natural for the ruling party to approve the resignation of an Opposition MLA since it would downsize the Opposition. Also, Ganta announced not contesting the seat in the by-election.

The resignation is not accepted only if the ruling party is not confident of winning the seat.

Ganta represents the Vishakapatnam North constituency. YSR Congress claims to be in favor of Vishakapatnam and if that is the case, it should be a cakewalk for the ruling party.

If the resignation is not accepted, one should imply that YSR Congress did not improve or worsened in Port City.

That means the people of Vishakapatnam are not buying the argument of the port city being the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh.

TDP which got severely battered in the 2019 elections won all four seats in Vishakapatnam city.
