Telangana Chief Minister’s grand announcement of International standard Cinema City in 30000 acres seem to be a mere announcement with out any ground work. The proposed Cinema city was to come in Rachakonda hills. Government had announced roads from Rachakonda to Shamshabad Aiport, Vijayawada National highway and Sagar road.
KCR also took an aerial survey in the area and asked collectors of Nalgonda and Rangareddy to come up with a report. The collectors have sent a report to the government that the area is not having so much of land for the cinema city. Pity is that the government already allotted 13000 acres of land here to Central government’s BDL which the state government had forgot.
9000 acres belong Forest department which needs central government’s permission for denotification. The remaining land there is Assigned lands or Patta lands making it impossible for the planned Cinema City. It is said that the whole proposal of Cinema city is put aside for now.
