Ghanta Srinvasa Rao is said to be the close aide of Chiranjeevi in politics. Chiranjeevi even got him a ministry after his Praja Rajyam Party was merged in to Congress. But now we hear that Ghanta is almost certain to leave congress and is eyeing a place in Telugu Desam Party. He reportedly wanted to contest from TDP to Anakapalli MP seat. While speculations about Ghanta’s plunge to TDP is on for several months, there is a little bit of friction from former Minister, Ayanna Pathrudu from the same region.
It is said that Chandra Babu Naidu spoke to Ayanna personally and convinced him. Chandra Babu recently flew to vishakapatnam and attended Ghanta’s daughter wedding. So, political circles say Ghanta’s TDP entry is almost confirmed. Sources say Ghanta will bring four sitting Congress MLAs from the region along with him. This will be a major boost to Telugu Desam Party in Uttarandhra region.
