Chiranjeevi Gets A Reason to Quit Congress?Megastar Chiranjeevi is Politically Inactive since the 2014 debacle of Congress and is concentrating on films. His Rajya Sabha Tenure has also expired and there is pressure on Chiranjeevi to quit Congress. He is also interested in joining his brother, Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Party ahead of 2019 elections which will garner community support to the party.

The alliance of Congress and TDP will further complicate things. Chiranjeevi will find it tough to stay in the party given that Pawan Kalyan is fighting against the TDP Government in Andhra Pradesh. So this may be the moment for Chiranjeevi in the pretext of opposing the alliance with TDP. Senior Congress Leader and Former Minister Vatti Vasantha Kumar announced resigning for the party opposing the alliance.

Vatti is working for Janasena for the last few months and has used this opportunity to quit the party. Chiranjeevi may also follow the same route. Given the memories of Praja Rajyam Party, Chiranjeevi joining the party may prove to be counterproductive. But then, there will be pressure from the family on Pawan Kalyan to admit Chiranjeevi into the party.
