After its all time worst performance of polls in Seemandhra, the Congress Party’s campaign head Chiranjeevi and Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Raghuveera Reddy have been asked to meet Sonia Gandhi on 2nd June to review the reasons caused for the utter failure of the party in the state.
Chiranjeevi along with Raghuveera will meet Sonia and Rahul Gandhi to discuss the plan of action in order to revive the party in the state on June 2.
All the Congress candidates lost their deposits in over 160 assembly constituencies and all Lok Sabha seats. With seniors shying away from contesting in polls fearing the defeat, the freshers couldn’t even secure the deposits. Campaign head, Chiranjeevi, himself never expressed his interest to contest but asked Seemandhra people to vote for Congress.
It is said that, Chiranjeevi is now focusing on losing his weight, and rigorously working out for his 150th movie, having no hopes on politics for the next several years.
