A couple of days ago, Pawan Kalyan bombarded the YSRCP government for its callous decisions affecting theatrical business in the state. “Don’t oppress the entire Telugu film industry just to irk me. I know how to teach a valuable lesson,” Pawan said to AP government. Pawan said he spoke in the best interests of Telugu film industry, as a whole.
However, not even a single Tollywood bigwig came in support of Pawan Kalyan even after he spoke about an issue pertaining to the industry. Incidentally, his brother, and the next Pedda Dhikku of Telugu cinema after Late Dasari, Chiranjeevi has also completely avoided the whole Pawan vs AP government saga.
Telugu Film Chamber even released a press note saying the individual opinions don’t reflect the viewpoint of the industry, as a whole. They have dissociated with Pawan completely.
Now that Tollywood and more importantly, Chiranjeevi have disowned Pawan Kalyan, YSRCP has come to a conclusion that there is no support for Pawan. So, they have resorted to character assassination.
After series of abusive press meets by YSRCP leaders, Posani Krishna Murali called for a press meet on Monday evening and made several serious allegations on Pawan Kalyan. “A top personality in Tollywood cheated an actress who came from Punjab to carve a name for herself in Tollywood. He impregnated her and later forced her to get aborted,” Posani said. He didn’t reveal the names but left it open to put Pawan Kalyan in the dock.
Needless to say, YCP leadership have triggered Posani to launch a derogatory attack on Pawan. Now that the party knows full well that Pawan has no support from the industry or his brother Chiranjeevi, the party has resorted to character assassination. We can expect more party loyalists in Tollywood come out and bash Pawan Kalyan in the days to come.
