Telangana Assembly SpeakerTelangana Assembly is by and large peaceful in recent times. But suddenly they seem to have taken a cue from their AP counterparts all of a sudden. Congress MLAs stormed the Speaker’s well demanding a discussion on the death of Rohit Vemula and the unrest in University of Hyderabad and Osmania.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao himself tried to pacify them expressing his regret over Rohit Vemula’s death and unrest in Universities. He said that his government is open to discuss the issues during Home Ministry allocations discussion and promised to allot one hour for that.

But Congress continued their protests demanding immediate discussion. There are allegations from all corners that KCR government is not doing anything in these issues. Earlier Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani also announced in the Parliament that she tried to speak with KCR on Rohit Vemula’s issue but he did not connect to her over the phone.
