Chandrayaan 2: Vikram Lander Location FoundVikram Lander of Chandrayaan 2 mission lost its communication with the Ground Control just 2.1 Kilometers away from the Lunar Surface on early hours of Saturday. Since then, ISRO has been analyzing the data to find out what went wrong in the mission and they already have a breakthrough.

“We have found the location of Vikram Lander on the lunar surface and the orbiter has clicked a thermal image of Lander. But there is no communication yet. We are trying to have contact. It will be communicated soon,” ISRO Chairman K Sivan has announced to the media a little while ago.

The mission could not be revived but the scientists will be able to find out what went wrong which will help in their subsequent missions. Even though Vikram Lander has failed, 90 to 95% of the mission objectives have been accomplished since the orbiter will revolve the Moon for around a year.

This failure will only mean that it would delay the country’s bid to join an elite club of nations that have landed in one piece on the moon’s surface
