Chandrababu naidu kadiyam SrihariOur reader are aware that Telangana Deputy Minister Kadiyam Srihari and other leaders from Warangal met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu few days ago and requested him to give Sababul available in Andhra Pradesh at 50% subsidy. So that Ballapur Industrial Limited (popularly known as Warangal Ballapur Reyans factory), that was closed down last year after operating for 35 years will start functioning again.

Subsequently Andhra Pradesh government decided to decrease the VAT on Sababul from 14.5% to 5%. Sababul from AP is the only source for Reyans factory as exports of it are banned in neighbouring Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Odisha.

However the initial reactions about this decision is not great among the people of Andhra Pradesh. They are irritated with the government’s decision favouring Telangana when the state government is imposing entry tax on AP vehicles and is also planning to vacate AP offices in Hyderabad.
