Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been tested positive for COVID-19. The Opposition leader took to Twitter and made this announcement.
This development has come a day after Naidu’s son and former Minister Nara Lokesh has tested positive.
“I’ve tested positive for COVID with mild symptoms. I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions. I would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest. Please be safe and take care (sic),” he tweeted.
The 71-year-old leader has been very cautious during the pandemic but had to attend the final rites of a slain party leader in Macherla a few days ago. He also meets Party leaders on a regular basis with strict protocols in place. So, we don’t know how he contracted the virus.
There is no update about how the other family members are doing.
TDP cadre and leaders are very worried about this. Get well soon messages are pouring in from all quarters. We at M9.news wish Naidu a speedy recovery.
