Kapu Corporation established for the welfare of the poor in the community has called for a Job Mela for the talented youth. They have also floated a website with the details of the Job Mela. This particular website and initiative of the government have created a huge uproar in Twitterati over the discrimination on caste basis.
But then, this seem to be more of a failure of Naidu’s team in communicating its intentions to the people. Corporations for various sections is not any news. All the states have it and we have seen several governments in the past do that for the welfare of the needy in that community. Kapu Corporation is also formed on similar lines.
The Corporation from its consolidated fund takes up various welfare activities which also include this Job Mela. The people attending the Job Mela will not give reservation in Jobs but will only get an opportunity to attend couple of more interviews may be. But then the Job Mela is being projected as one more form of Reservation.
If there is really any discrimination, the Multi National Companies attending the Job Melas will definitely not venture into the unnecessary mess. But there is none from Naidu’s Team to counter this false propaganda going on silently in social media. In fact, the tragedy is that except for Naidu, his son Lokesh and to some extent, Media Advisor Parakala Prabhakar, no minister or leader have social media presence.
