Andhra Pradesh Government once again refused to hand over the Secretariat Buildings in Hyderabad. The Chief Secretaries of both the state governments have sat together the other day to resolve the pending bifurcation issues.
AP CS has informed his Telangana Counterpart that the government is yet to take a decision on it. Telangana Government wants to demolish the existing Secretariat Buildings and construct a new Secretariat in the same place. This is almost a dream project of CM KCR.
But Andhra Pradesh is not allowing that by not handing over the buildings allotted to it even though the administration has shifted to Amaravati. According to Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, AP has right over these buildings till 2024.
