Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seem to have vexed with the attitude of the center towards the state. Center today clarified in Parliament that Special Status is not possible any longer and the announcement is in a tone of extreme insensitivity and irresponsibility. Naidu called for a media meet and lambasted BJP as well as Congress.
Naidu clearly said that BJP is doing the same drama as Congress. “Andhra Pradesh got cheated yet again in Parliament today,” Naidu said indicating the things to come. The Chief Minister reiterated that he is not asking any favours but is only demanding to compensate for the injustice meted to the state.
Naidu asked the rationale between refusing Special Status and the report of 14th Finance Commission. “We did not get anything additionally other than remaining states”, Naidu said on Jaitley’s claims of additional funds to AP. “I am silent all these days since we are in an alliance and hoping that they would steer the state out of trouble. I will not allow playing with AP future for politics”, Naidu angrily said.
“I am patient for 2 years. It will take only two minutes to take any step (pulling out of NDA). I will talk to them, I will go to them again and again to resolve these issues. Further decisions will be taken in the best interests of the state,” Naidu carrying out the indirect message. Going by the indications, this forced romance may not sustain for more time.
