Chandrababu Naidu Sits On Road As Protest Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s Uttarandhra Tour has become a center of controversy as YSR Congress activists tried to obstruct the Opposition Leader and did not allow him out of the Airport. After patiently waiting for Three and a half hours for the Police to clear the blockade, Chandrababu sat on the road.

TDP alleges that it is clear that the Police is acting at the behest of the Government and is wantedly not clearing the Traffic despite Chandrababu‘s Chaitanya Yatra having all the necessary permissions. Chandrababu is keen on go forward even on a Padayatra if necessary.

Along with Chandrababu, other TDP leaders of the district have sat on road. Given that Chandrababu is a Z Category Protectee, Police should resolve the issue before it gets dark as the Security issues will crop up. Vishakapatnam is the hotbed of Maoists.

Naidu was taken into the Police Custody. Vishaka East Zone DCP served notices to Chandrababu under Section 151 and later announced that the Opposition Leader is being taken into custody for his safety. Chandrababu was confined to the VIP lounge in Vishaka Airport.

The Plan is to send him to Hyderabad or Vijayawada on the next flight. The entire episode is similar to what happened to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the same Vishakapatnam Airport in 2017. There are rumors that the Government orchestrated the same as a part of its revenge on Chandrababu.

The only difference between both the incidents is that Jagan did not have any permission for his Vishaka tour back then but Chandrababu sought permission for his Jana Chaitanya Yatra in Vishakapatnam and Vizianagaram districts. But the Police did not dare to disperse the crowd belonging to the Ruling Party.

High Drama followed at Vishakapatnam Airport as YSR Congress cadre stormed into Chandrababu’s Convoy and tried to attack him. The Police have become mere spectators for around four hours and at one stage, Chandrababu even sat on the road as a mark of protest. Later, the police arrested him.
