Chandrababu Naidu Targets Municipal Elections, Chandrababu Naidu Targets Local Elections, Chandrababu Naidu Targets Municipal Elections StrategyThe Cabinet Expansion of Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu which was planned for Dussehra, is now postponed until the completion of the upcoming Local Elections. Since almost all the districts are going to face elections in one or more towns, the chief minister is setting targets for the leaders to be on their toes.

He is promising to take their performance in municipal elections as criteria for induction into the state cabinet to achieve better results in the elections. The government is planning to conduct the elections in the second half of December and directed the State Election Commission to start arrangements. A massive sweep in the elections will snub the Opposition once and for all, clearing route to TDP to win 2019 elections.

Seven Municipal Corporations and Four Municipalities which did not go for elections until now will have the elections. These municipalities were spread across the length and breadth of the state and so can be treated as Mini Election and will be a referendum of a sort for the TDP government. Vishakapatnam, Kakinada, Guntur, Ongole, Kurnool, Tirupati and Srikakulam are the Municipal Corporations. Rajam, Nellimerla, Kandukur, and Rajampeta are the municipalities that are going to face elections.
