It looks TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu is not at all serious about the prospects of the party in Telangana. The party’s Telangana President, L Ramana recently quit and joined the TRS. All eyes are on Naidu’s next move and it has disappointed the fans.
The party has named Bakkina Narsimhulu as its new Chief. Narasimhulu was the senior TDP leader in Mahbubnagar district also served as TDP district president of erstwhile Mahabubnagar. He was the MLA for Shadnagar in 1994-99. TDP supporters are not at all happy with this appointment.
Bakkina is not a popular or mass leader. He is not elected after 1999. He is unlikely to inspire the confidence in the leader and cadre who were out of power for seventeen years now. They say Naidu has indicated that he is not interested in the Telangana unit anymore with this appointment.
Meanwhile, it is said that Naidu chose Narasimhulu considering his loyalty. He wants someone who will not embarrass the party by switching sides and the senior leader fit the bill.
