The issue of Guntur Police denying permission for Jagan’s fast unto death has become a controversy for the last couple of days. Police say the venue is likely to create traffic snarls and denied the permission while YSR Congress is adamant of doing the deeksha at the same venue at any cost. Chandrababu finally responded on this issue a short while ago in Delhi.
“The permission can not be granted on any grounds. It is ridiculous to approach Police for permission asking them to allow a person to die. Also we will not sit idle if they try to damage any public property”, Chandrababu said when asked about why his government is denying for the deeksha.
Earlier in the day there were speculations that Center may announce a package to foil the Deeksha. Even Union Minister Sujana Chowdary hinted about some thing happening. But nothing of such sort happened. Few media reported that Chandrababu warned the center that it will be of no use if they announce Special Package or Special Status after Jagan’s deeksha and they will derive mileage from it.
