KRJ Bharath is the YSR Congress in charge of Chandrababu Naidu‘s Kuppam constituency. His father Chandramouli contested against Chandrababu Naidu twice and lost. He passed away after the 2019 elections and his son, Bharath is made the YSR Congress in charge.
The other day, a report in Sakshi mentions that Bharath was moved by the plight of COVID-19 victims and donated 10,000 liters of medical oxygen. This is a very commendable act but then it turned to be something different.
Bharath, in fact, donated the 10,000 liters of oxygen using some free coins on some credit card bill payment app. Millions of users have used the app to make the donation but no one is sure if the app is really doing that or if it is just a publicity stunt.
There are jokes all over the social media on Bharat’s act and the publicity that followed on Sakshi as the real cylinders are donated. “Politicians have to spend money and do some real work on the ground. If they do such and then publicize as if they really donated via Newspapers. It is nothing but a silly publicity stunt,” social media users ridicule.
