A few days ago, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao in the State Assembly went on to say that Amaravati is a dead investment and he advised Chandrababu Naidu against doing that. This has become a huge talking point with people taking sides about KCR’s statement. Chandrababu who did not comment on it until now finally responded to it in an interview.

“Today, Hyderabad is ranked the most liveable city in India. I wanted to replicate the success of Hyderabad and build a greenfield city in Andhra Pradesh. It is easy for KCR to say Amaravati is a dead investment. Had I thought Hyderabad was dead investment, he wouldn’t be so happy now, would he?,” Chandrababu said.

“Amaravati is a self-financing Project and it would bring huge revenue to the state if it is implemented. The land monetization alone would have brought One Lakh Crore Minimum. AP needs one big city like Bengaluru for Karnataka and Hyderabad to Telangana to showcase itself to the World,” Naidu defended his grandiose plans of Amaravati.

“Jagan is trying to erase my legacy. He is keen on destroying Amaravati and if that happens, history will hold him guilty,” Chandrababu said.
