Andhra Pradesh government is gearing up for a perfect answer in National Green Tribunal when the cases on Amaravati come to a hearing. The government has prepared a detailed action plan about the handling of the flood to Kondaveeti Vagu and Palle Vaadu. TATA and Aarakadis of Netherland proposed an action plan involving the construction of Five reservoirs outside Amaravati.
These Five Reservoirs will be able to store 1.28 TMCs of water and will come up at different places needing 2503 acres of land. These reservoirs will also help the drinking water needs of the capital. This proposal will cost 1600 Crore to the state exchequer. But then this is the most feasible proposal among the three proposals put up.
This action plan is prepared to take into consideration the past flood reports in the area and with the estimation of maximum flood for the next 100 years. The state government will very soon finalize on one of the proposals and will put the action plan before the National Green Tribunal and get the necessary clearances for the Capital Construction.
