A few days ago, when there are allegations about a massive Land Scam in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu appointed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate into the allegations. Even as the Opposition doubted Naidu’s sincerity, the CM proved he is totally intolerant to corruption.
The SIT which is looking into the scam recommended filing a FIR on Anakapalli TDP MLA, Peela Govinda Satyanarayana and Anandapuram Police did the same. Booking an own party MLA is a testimony of Naidu’s Zero Tolerance to Corruption where ever or whichever party is involved.
The 96 Acres of Land is expected to cost 300 Crore as per the market value. The MLA claims that it was purchased by his father in 1995 and he did not know if the land is a government land. Naidu may even suspend Peela from the party until he walks free out of the case.
On the other side, this scam will have repercussions on YSR Congress as well. Massive irregularities have taken place during the Previous Congress regime in which several local leaders including two ministers then were involved. They are currently in YSR Congress.
