Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched the new districts of Andhra Pradesh virtually via video conferencing from his Tadepalli camp office.
Thirteen old districts were reorganized into twenty six districts and will come into effect from today. YSR Congress claims that it is the first step in decentralization as envisaged by Jagan Mohan Reddy.
They also announced that they will be making changes to the districts wherever needed. If Jagan can come to power and change the capital itself, there is no reason why districts can not be changed.
These statements of the leaders will be playing behind the minds of the people continuously. The main idea behind this districts reorganization is creating a real estate boom.
Such boom will help the Ruling Party leaders as well as additional revenue for the government. If the statements of Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan do what they are expected, the real estate boom will not be as much as it should be.
But if Jagan has to complain about this ‘making changes after coming to power’, he should first blame himself for starting the trend with Amaravati.
