Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is keen on having a Davos-type Global forum at Amaravati very soon. The Chief Minister who widely considered the industry-friendly politician and a regular attendee at the World Economic Forum’s deliberations in Davos is mulling the idea.
India’s leading trade body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has agreed to collaborate with AP on the initiative. Naidu is keen on roping in the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), part of the union ministry of commerce and industry, for collaboration to organize global economic forums on an annual basis.
The idea of this Global forum is to bring the industry, academicians, politicians, bureaucrats, media, governments, technology innovators and social activists onto a Davos-type of global economic discussion forum for debate, delve and exchange ideas to help improve governance.
