A day after Chandrababu Naidu expressed his anguish at the Center ignoring Polavaram for Political Reasons, the TDP Supremo weaved a political net around BJP in his own style. Chandrababu’s Cabinet ratified 5% Reservations to Kapu Community.
The Bill is introduced in the Assembly today and it will be sent to the Center as the total reservations crossed 50% and Center has to add them to the 9th Section of the Constitution which will be immune to Judicial Interference.
So, the ball of Kapu Reservations is in Center’s Court now and the onus is on BJP. If the Center ratifies this bill, the pressure will be on from Telangana Side to allow reservations for Muslims for which BJP is against due to Religion based reservations.
This is also a blow to Opposition Leader, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as well. The bill is being passed at the time when YSR Congress has boycotted the session and they will not be a part of the historical moment. The Reservations for Kapu Community will be passed in the Assembly even without the votes of Opposition MLA.
