Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister last year in the state assembly took a vow that he will bring water to Pulivendhula, the constituency of Opposition Leader, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy even if the opposition lay down obstructing the water flow. Finally, the vow was fulfilled today.
The Chief Minister today inaugurated Paidipalem Lift Irrigation Project and released water to Pulivendula Branch Canal. On the other side, Council Chairman Satish Reddy earlier took an oath that he will not take his beard until water is brought to Pulivendula.
He finally took his beard and completed his Deeksha. Pulivendula Branch Canal will irrigate 41000 acres in the area. On the occasion, Naidu took a vow to complete Rayalaseema projects like Galeru-Nagari, Handri- Neeva and the Telugu Ganga projects. TDP founder NT Rama Rao had laid stones for those projects but were pending since then.
