Cyber star chandrababu naidu fiber grid project India’s most IT obsessed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has launched another major digital initiative AP FiberNet. For starters, AP government has packaged Cable, Phone and Internet for lower than what other internet service providers currently charging. FiberNet provides broadband connection of 15 Mbps line at Rs.149 per month and offices will get a 100 Mbps connection at Rs.999 per month.

AP has partnered with John Chambers, executive chairman of Cisco for making this project a reality. Speaking at the launch event John said this was planned by Naidu ten years ago however now it turned into a reality after he took the charge as CM again.

So far 18 states in the nation have picked for AP FiberNet model. But the states which are active for AP Fiber Grid Model are Rajasthan, UP, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. These states are talking to industry experts on design architecture with respect to AP Fiber Grid Model. Naidu has lived up to his brand ‘Cyber Star’ by implementing this dream come true project at such low cost in the midst of several financial issues state is reeling under.

FiberNet will be available in Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram at present but July is said to be the due date to reach out over the State.
