YS Jagan - Chandrababu Naidu

As mandated by the AP Reorganization Act, Andhra Pradesh has supplied power to Telangana from its power plants from June 2014 and June 2017. An amount of 5732.4 Crore Rupees has been pending to Andhra Pradesh but Telangana Government never paid.

The Then Chandrababu Naidu Government has moved a bankruptcy petition over Telangana Discoms to National Company Law Tribunal. While the issue is going on, the Government has changed. In July 2019, Jagan Government withdrew the petition saying that the issue will be resolved amicably with Telangana Government.

The amount has become 6283.68 Crore Rupees until August. With no sight of Telangana paying it, Jagan Government has approached Telangana High Court now. The high court has asked Telangana Government to file a reply on it and adjourned the next hearing to August 28th.

It appears Jagan Mohan Reddy has admitted that Chandrababu is right in this issue and he has erred by withdrawing the bankruptcy petition from the NCLT.
