Andhra Pradesh government has almost shifted its base from Hyderabad to the Interim Secretariat in Velgapudi. The Chief Minister is totally residing in Andhra Side and is rarely going to Hyderabad. This has become a huge headache for the officials working in AP districts. The Chief Minister is keeping them on toes with surprise checks.
“From the last one year or so, CM Sir is residing in Vijayawada and the employees of Vijayawada are always on alert as a result. At least once a week or twice, he used to fly to Hyderabad allowing us to breathe in relief. But then with the Secretariat coming here, things are becoming even difficult,” an employee in Municipal Department claims.
The surprise checks of the Chief Minister are not confined only to Vijayawada or Guntur. The Chief Minister is taking district tours more frequently and is embarking on Surprise Checks all of sudden. The Prime Focus is on sanitation and basic infrastructure maintenance. The Chief Minister is listening to the complaints of the locals then and there and is making swift moves to solve them immediately.
