Yanamala Ramakrishnudu is the senior most leader in TDP. He is in the party even before its launch. Ramakrishnudu won six times on a trot as an MLA from Tuni constituency since 1983 elections.
He lost 2009 elections and later went to the Council. Yanamala’s Brother Krishnudu contested from Tuni in 2014 and 2019 and lost in both the elections.
Even though Yanamala and his family are in losing streak, Chandrababu always ensured Cabinet Rank Posts for Yanamala. But then, things are going to be different going forward.
TDP is going to implement No tickets formula for those who lost two elections in a row. Accordingly, Yanamala family may not get ticket in 2024.
Former MLA Raja Ashok Babu met Chandrababu the other day. There are rumors in the constituency that he may get the ticket this time.
Raja Ashok Babu contested on Congress ticket in 2009 and won. He contested on Janasena ticket in 2019 but got meager number of votes. But then, Chandrababu is confident that this move will work for TDP and he will be the right person to defeat Dadisetty Raja.
Yanamala is at least hoping to get Kakinada Rural ticket for his daughter.
