The TDP is largely rejuvenated by the smashing victories in the recently held MLC elections. The party won all three graduates’ MLC seats, including the West Rayalaseema region, which is traditionally the fortress of YS Jagan’s YCP.
Now, Chandrababu has cleverly dropped a winner in Kuppam by appointing Kancharla Srikanth, TDP’s Rayalaseema MLC, as the TDP election committee chairman for the Kuppam constituency.
Srikanth had won the Rayalaseema MLC seat against the odds and the more interesting thing about this win is that he managed to gain a winning trend even in Kadapa, which is Jagan’s home territory.
Now, Srikanth’s appointment as Kuppam TDP election committee chairman will greatly boost the local leadership which is already on a high with Lokesh’s Padayatra and also the MLC elections win.
TDP appointed this committee to ensure Chandrababu wins Kuppam MLA election by 1 lakh votes margin. Srikanth will be leading the charge now.
Also, multiple surveys in Kuppam have already predicted a humongous victory for Chandrababu in the forthcoming election. While YCP has been hanging on to Kuppam municipal elections win which is a thing in the past, TDP has regained momentum with the MLC win and now, a new capable leader to lead the troops in Kuppam.
