Chandrababu begins baby steps towards historical projectAndhra Pradesh government got the credit of executing the first rivers interlinking project by completing Pattiseema which linked Godavari and Krishna. The Chief Minister is targeting some thing even bigger which will change the face of the state. The government is contemplating the interlinking of Godavari, Krishna, Penna and Paalar.

400 TMC of water will be saved with this project and government entrusted the DPR preparation to Union government company, Vyapkos. This project if successful will solve the water problem of Rayalaseema, Nellore and Prakasam districts. Vyapkos is charging 5 Crore Rupees as fee for preparing this DPR.

The DPR will be presented to the government in four months time. If the project completes, there will be no drought in Andhra Pradesh and Chandrababu Naidu’s name will be etched for ever in the history books. However Central government’s help in such mega projects is very crucial for their execution.
