Now that the capital of Andhra Pradesh is confirmed near Vijayawada and now the onus is on the land acquisition which will definitely be a major challenge to the government. There are very little government land parcels near Vijayawada and even acquiring lands from private parties is not easy due to high costs present there. In order to overcome this challenge, Chandra Babu is planning to build sky-scrappers for government offices in the capital.
The government offices are being planned in such a way that all the officers of a department are present under a single roof. With such plan, more office space can be created in the buildings built over little land areas. The government is also planning to make a inter related departments in the same building if they are small. This idea will not only solve the land problem but also will improve administrative conveniences. It is said that government had already ordered to conduct soil tests in few areas around Vijayawada to identify suitable lands for the construction of these sky-scrappers.
