Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has began the funds hunting spree for the truncated state. The Chief Minister today met with the 14th Finance Commission members in Tirupati and gave them a power point presentation regarding the help needed from them for various development and welfare activities planned in the state. The CM has explained the team his vision to develop the state as ‘Swarnandhra Pradesh’ by 2029 and requested the committee to allot 1,00,213 Crores for the capital construction.

Chandra Babu’s targets include 100% Literacy rate, construction of industrial and smart cities, developments of ports, tourism etc for the all round development of the thirteen districts of the state. The committee was also detailed about the various problems encountering the state due to the bifurcation. The 14th Finance Commission will come in to effect from April, 2015. Chandra Babu also discussed with the finance commission chairman, Yaga Venugopal Reddy regarding the status of changing the criteria for the Special Status.
